	TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING. RESERVATIONS. A deposit equivalent to the cost of the first night's stay is required when making a reservation. We accept cash, credit or debit cards. Please note that there is a surcharge of 2.5% for all credit and debit cards. excluding American Express. CHECKING IN AND OUT. Guests may collect their keys and parking permit from 11am onwards, rooms however, are not available until 14:00 or later. Departing guests are asked to vacate their rooms by 10.30am. We may be able to 'hold' luggage for later collection, but only by prior arrangement. CANCELLATION. All deposits are non refundable. All bookings made without a deposit are made on the understanding that the room is ‘secured’ on a credit or debit card. ‘Secured’ in this instance means that we will take the equivalent value of a deposit from a credit or debit card where a booking has been cancelled with less than two weeks notice; or the equivalent of the whole booking in the event of a ‘no show’ or a cancellation with less than a weeks notice. The single exception to this policy is in the case of special events (such as – Folk Week, Goth Weekend, 60’s Weekend, Soul Weekend, Line Dancing Weekend, Regatta etc.) where we will take the equivalent value of a deposit from a credit or debit card where a booking has been cancelled with less than one months notice; or the equivalent of the whole booking in the event of a ‘no show’ or a cancellation with less than two weeks notice. A deposit is equivalent to the cost of the first nights stay for the whole booking. WEEKEND STAYS. Any stay that includes a Saturday night must be for a minimum of two nights. Only in exceptional circumstances can we accept a one night weekend stay, then a supplement will be applied. FESTIVALS AND BANK HOLIDAY WEEKENDS. Please note that we only accept a minimum of 3 night bookings for any of the Bank Holiday weekends or music festivals. The October Goth Festival incurs a minimum of 4 nights stay and the Whitby Folk Festival incurs a minimum 6 night stay. PARKING. Please note: We do not have private parking. Ample on-street car parking is available to those with patience, forbearance and a parking permit. Parking Permits are supplied by us, and are included in your nightly rate, however we do appreciate a donation to MacMillan. Permits can be found on arrival on the left hand side in our porch. Further information relating to parking in Whitby can be found on the SCARBOROUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL WEBSITE. GROUP BOOKINGS. Sorry we do not accept single sex groups, stag or hen partiess, nor touring sports teams. BY MAKING A RESERVATION YOU ARE AGREEING TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
